NIGHT ROUTINE | End Your Night on a High Note

I currently have a full time job and some weeks I find myself very busy after work seeing friends and going to things on the weekends that I find I need a night to just relax and binge watch my fave shows and take care of my skin. A couple nights of the week I will make sure I have a night to unwind and I always go through the same routine to do so.

A Quick Room Clean

I don’t know about you but I am the master of leaving clothes lying about because my wardrobe is just unbearably small. My chairdrobe as well is always at another level. So when I get home in the evening I like to – not do a huge room clean – but just clear a few things here and there so that I don’t feel as clustered. I’ll shove any clothes into any microscopic hole that might be emerging in and amongst my wardrobe.

I find it so much nicer and so much more relaxing when my main light is turned off and all I have on are just my desk lamp and bedside table light. The atmosphere is just so much more at ease. As well as this, I’ll always light about two candles when I’m de-stressing in the evenings –  I find it the most luxurious thing. For nights like this, it’s not about expensive candles for me, Im just a sucker for pretty looking ones.

I have a Spotify playlist of all my favourite songs and this I’ll start playing and singalong to like an idiot.

Face Mask

At this point I will put my hair up and take all my make up off (BEST FEELING EVER) and apply a face mask. I use the Quick Fix Facial Purifying Charcoal mask which is literally cheap as chips but does the job. However I’m definitely looking to invest in a more expensive one soon. My face mask is on for 10 minutes until it dries and hardens slightly, but you don’t want to leave it on too long until it starts cracking because that starts to suck the moisture out your skin. This stage also makes for funny and ugly snapchats to your friends – not to miss this step

Next I take a shower, wash my face mask off, wash my hair, brush my teeth – and moisturise, moisturise, MOISTURISE. My skin gets so dry in London, and especially because it’s so cold this step is so important for me. I moisturise my skin with Neutrogena body oil and always remember to moisturise my face and neck.

At this point I am feeling super clean and hydrated and soothed. This is when I get into pyjamas that are too ugly for anyone to ever see and lie in bed and catch up with The Bachelor or my new favourite series Riverdale and I literally go to bed so happy ❤

Let me know if you have any nightly routines, or any other things you do to unwind!

A night time shower is my favorite thing before I go to bed. Nothing beat a nice hot shower, then putting on some pjs and calling it a night! I also do the whole candle thing it really sets the mood and ambiance of my room and I love it!
